Bridal Show at the Montage

I had a fantastic first time experience at the Perfect Wedding Guide's bridal show at the Montage at Allison Pointe. I was able to meet tons of new brides and made some good connections with a few vendors as well.

For fun, I offered a simple headshot to whoever wanted one for their blog/facebook/myspace page and that allowed me to spend a bit more time with each potential bride and groom to be as well as a couple other vendors.

Thanks to James @ Lakeside Entertainment, Paul and Angela @ Expressions Costume Jewelry, Loren @ Tellman Cosmetic Dentistry, Ade' with memwa's, and all the brides, grooms and their friends and family that let me take their photo and share a little more about their wedding plans.

I'm offering my 2009 pricing @ a 10% discount if you book before March 31 so book now. I've got some premium dates still available and I'd love to serve you on your big day!

WPPI Convention Fun in Vegas

As many of you know, I'm a big music fan. Obviously besides being a photographer as my biggest passion, music is a close second and this convention trip to Vegas for the Wedding Portrait Photographer's International, aka ...WPPI convention allowed me to not only delve into the hippest and most current trends in the wedding and portrait world and learn from the best, but thanks to Nikon, also gave me front row access to a great band I've loved for years.... Blues Traveler.

Imagine if you will, 2000 people, huge MGM Grand Arena, staging this huge act, and... the kicker was, that we could bring our photo gear! How cool is that??? Think back to your last concert. How often do you see everyone under the sun snapping off crappy photos on their cell phone from 300 miles away, just to "remember". It's like an artifact, just to prove "I was there". Well Nikon and Blues Traveler, gave us all that and more. Not only a great show, but the ability to capture some incredible memories. I hope you enjoy mine.

As you know, Vegas is so visually dynamic so I added in a couple other favorites I took from around the MGM, enjoy the rest of the scenic shots and I threw in a lovely small group seminar with Dennis Reggie at the Pictage booth. Dennis is kind of the "father" of high end, photojournalistic photography. When he speaks, everyone listens. I learned a lot :)

See you at the Bridal Show at the Montage @ Allison Pointe on Sunday! And like all my other posts, feel free to click on them to make 'em bigger!

Enjoy :)

Key Bank's Hamilton Town Center Opening

I had a great time on Valentine's Day photographing the Key Bank opening up at Hamilton Town Center. Key brought in High School Musical's Chris Warren Jr. (aka Zeke) who's from Indy which I'll get to in a minute.

Oddly enough, this is the first time I've photographed someone famous and had no idea who they were. Since I have no kids and am not into High School Musical, I'm completely out of the loop on how cool it must be to be involved with HSM. Despite the cold, several hundred fans came to the Key Bank location in Noblesville to get an autographed photo while Key had quite a party with other vendors located in the new mall join in on the "opening" events.

Thanks to Karen Stuerenberg at Key for the gig. I love working at corporate events. If any of you work for a company or organization that needs event coverage, don't be bashful in getting a hold of me.

Holly and Jesse's Wedding

It's been forever since I've posted anything and my apologies to those that check my blog out. I've got a good group of different shots to post so when I get back from WPPI in Vegas, I'll make it a point to add and add and add what's been happening with me and DPA.

I had the awesome privilege of serving the Stauffer's at their wedding at the Columbia Club this past month.
If ever have I seen a couple so perfectly made for each other, these two are it.

The whole day was beautiful and it was just a great day from start to finish. I've put a few of my favorites in here. Like all my other postings, if you want to see the images larger, just click and enjoy.

If you're looking for a photographer for a wedding I'll be at the Montage for the Perfect Wedding Guide's Bridal Show on the 22nd of February. Check me out and meet me if you're seeking out a great photographer for your big day.

Who's this Brian guy?

My photo
I'm one of the few people from Wyoming in the midwest. Born and bred, by default I'm a cowboy, through life though I guess I've kept the wanderlust and taken it urban. Having lived in 11 states now, I feel safe to say that I've found home in Indy. I'd never have dreamed I'd live here but 5 years later, I have no complaints! I've been a "lifestyle" photographer for quite a while. Cutting my teeth in landscape photography and photojournalism out West I've developed a style that focuses on simplicity, beauty and life lived well.
